Sam Zuppardi

Sam Zuppardi

Sam makes picture books. He is the illustrator of Nobody’s Perfect by
David Elliott, The Misadventures of Edgar & Allan Poe series by Gordon McAlpine and The Nowhere Box, which he also wrote. His next book, Jack’s Worry, is published by Candlewick/Walker, and will be out in the UK and US in spring 2016. Take a look at his website for further info.

Sam’s most recent Radio On story was inspired by a liking for music and mad inventions, which he has never had the chance to combine in real life, although he did once make a robot out of a saucepan and a cassette player.

Joel Benjamin

Raised on the plains of Suffolk, Joel now lives in the wilds of Norwich where he works as a freelance illustrator. His recent output includes a series of designs for Milk Skateboards, and the self-published zines Shoe Portraits and A Wolf is a Wolf is a Wolf.

Joel’s cover design was one of the first elements of Broadcast #1 to be completed, and if we all ask nicely he may do more covers and/or stories for us in the future.

You can find more of Joel’s illustration work here. You can also buy his prints and zines on his Etsy shop.

Michael Stephens

As well as writing and illustrating sequential stories, Mike plays guitar in St Helens’ finest 5-piece dream pop outfit ‘Death Masks’. Mike also records and performs techno/electronica music under the ‘Telluric’ moniker, and earlier this year released a self-titled EP on his Bandcamp page. The remainder of his spare time is spent obsessing over the works of Philip K. Dick and playing video games.

Dirt in the Ground is Mike’s first published comic work, but look out for more similarly excellent material in forthcoming issues of Radio On, as well as in other future publications from The Analogue Press. You can read Mike’s comic book musings on his blog: The Visual Exegesis.
